Volunteering At Our Space Our Place

Our volunteers are essential to the work of Our space Our Place. You make a real difference by interacting directly with the students. As a volunteer, your time, your energy and your participation will contribute to the provision of an after school program for children who are legally blind which is respectful, inclusive, challenging and fun.

We ask all of our individual volunteers to commit to a regular schedule of at least twice a month on the same day or days for at least 3 months. An example would be a volunteer who works every other Tuesday. This allows the volunteers to get to know the students and the other volunteers.

All new volunteers need to attend a volunteer orientation. All volunteers have to pass the Criminal Offender record Information (CORI) check.
